What’s The Best Way To Clean A Poly-stained Hardwood Floor? Are There Any “natural” Methods That Work Well?

Years ago I read about the use of black tea to clean hardwood floors. I wonding if anyone has tried this? I would like to use products that may already have at home such as: tea, vinegar, etc.

I've never tried anything already in my wooden floors. I always just use Murphy Oil. It leaves my floor so clean looking and smelling, with just a touch of sparkle. And it's not sticky or slippery.

My aunt had your wood floor for about 5 years ago and was told to clean them using a gallon of warm water with a cup of white vinegar. The chemicals in many cleaners can damage soil and strip hardwood. He said he did not wax the floors – no paste wax – not Endust – Murphey Oil and not the soap because once the goal has been applied to the house there is a protective coating on wood and products was over the goal and make the floor shine. She has been cleaning the floors in that way from your floors and look still look great! Hope this helps:)

I did know that not long ago that if you use Murphy's oil soap leaves the oil in the wooden floor, so if you ever want repolyurethane soil, custom work. He suggested using white vinegar and water on it, it's natural shine. Refinish or if you want, you then have to sand and polyurethane the floor. to a nice shine that lasts.

We vacuum and occasionally use a damp mop. Bruce makes a product that is petroleum based, but it stinks and should be well ventilated. Personally I like the mop wet then use a regular bath towel to make sure we got to the water droplets.

I like to use Murphy's Oil Soap on wood floors of my mother. There is nothing better. She has 2 dogs so it gets dirty quickly, but clean and prevents them from sticking things to last for weeks. Hope this helps.
